Donald Joseph Qualls also known as DJ Qualls in America is an American actor and producer. After gaining fame through his role as a character in Road Trip he has since appeared in over 20 feature films including The New Guy Hustle & Flow and The Core. Also, he has been on over 22 shows, like Breaking Bad Supernatural and Scrubs. A survivor of Hodgkin's lymphoma and diagnosed with when he was 14 years old. Qualls is a fighter. After two years of treatment the cancer is now into the stage of remission. The treatment at an early stage had a negative effect on the body. It hampered his development. Once he was taking on the role of an actor, financial security was his goal. He had experienced the poverty of his youth. I've lived so frugally for so long I have been able to enjoy that financial security or the world feels out of control for me he said in an interview. In a conversation the interviewer also talks about his own growing up. The goal of his is to stop bullies. "Cruelty makes me cry," he said. His ideal role in film and in his life is the father. Director doesn't pick him for these roles but he does say. One day he'd like to have a child of his own and be able to devote less time to his career and more to his child.
