Jillian Norel Hennessy (born November 25 in 1968) is a Canadian actress, singer who made an impact on American television. Her fame is due to her stellar performances in the American TV series Law & Order where she impressed viewers for three seasons as the prosecutor Claire Kincaid and Crossing Jordan in which she played protagonist Jordan Cavanaugh for six seasons. Hennessy's acting skills were also displayed in the movies RoboCop 3 Most Wanted as along with Chutney Popcorn & The Acting Class. Through these independently produced films, she showed off co-directing as well as writing skills. Hennessy began her acting career as an actress in Dead Ringers with her sister. Her Broadway debut was in Buddy, The Buddy Holly Story. Later, in RoboCop 3 in 1993 she was the role of Dr. Marie Lazarus. She got her big break later in the year in the form of a role as the Assistant District Attorney Claire Kincaid on the hit NBC drama Law & Order.
