Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is a mercurial music producer and singer, who mixes Soul gospel Jazz and R&B in a signature mix. Avery Sunshine has performed on Broadway and in festivals throughout Europe as well as the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine can be described as Denise White. While she is a resident of Atlanta however, she comes in Chester Pennsylvania where she began music by performing as well as playing the piano at churches. She attended Spellman College in Atlanta where she began her training on the city's R&B scene. In 2005, she was employed as the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 about serving as Choral Director of Dreamgirls the stage show at Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine gained national recognition for 4 performances a day during the Democratic National Convention in 2008. She was invited to sing as part of Obama's inaugural ceremony in 2009.
